GC-PLACE Procedure for creating Fuji MCS/2 format output:

1. Prepare header and end files.
1.1. Ensure that files MCS2.HDR and MCS2.END are located in the current
working directory (to check, shell out to DOS).
1.2. Make any necessary changes to the output header and end files,
MCS2.HDR and MCS2.END, using an ASCII text editor. The format of
these files may change depending on your job.

2. Prepare the data in GC-PLACE.
2.1. Extract parts and assign reference designators.
2.2. Import the Bill of Materials. If the BOM does not have a unique line
number for each part, you will need to edit the file with an ASCII
text editor to add line numbers. This line number should be imported
into the Fiducial Group field in Query.
2.3. Sort parts by Package ID (part number) or Fiducial Group (as desired)
        using Query.

3. Create the Device_data part of the output file.
3.1. Escape to the layer list.
3.2. Select "Write" ("Write with PDF" for GC-PLACE 2.4) from the menu
(Ctrl M) or use the F4 hot key.
3.3. Enter "MCS2DEVC.PDF" into the "Plotter" field ("Output Format" in
        2.4).
3.4. Enter your output filename into the "Output File" field ("Output
        Filename" in 2.4).
3.5. Enter the layer numbers containing parts into the "Layers" field.
3.6. Press the Enter key execute.

4. Create the Sequence_data part of the output file.
4.1. Select "Write with PDF" (F4) again.
4.2. Enter "MCS2SEQN.PDF" into the "Output Format" field.
4.3. Enter the same output filename used previously into the "Output
        Format" field.
4.4. Enter the same layer numbers containing parts into the "Layers" field.
4.5. Press the Enter key execute.
IMPORTANT: The system will ask if you want to Overwrite (Y) or Append
                    (N) the file to the existing file name.
                    Select Append (N).

5. Clean-up the output file using an ASCII text editor.
5.1. Delete lines containing duplicate Fiducial Groups or Package IDs from
the Device_data section of the output file.
5.2. Remove any remaining characters after the end-of-file "*"
        (usually " "" "" 0 0 0 0)

6. The file should now be in MCS/2 format.
