Simple software....

USBShow

To set up USBWho, copy all the files to your USB stick, keeping all the files together.

Copy your jpeg photos to the folder/directory "MyPhotos"

Setup is done.

To run the software, insert the stick in a computer running Mac OS X, or Windows XP or
Vista, or most Linux (tested with Ubuntu).

Run the appropriate program:
MacUSBShow
WinUSBShow
LinuxUSBShow.

The software will load up the first photo.

To move to the next photo, click anywhere on the image.

Choose file menu/ quit to... er... quit.

Hints

To load the next file, click in the righthand half of the window. To load the previous
file, click in the lefthand half of the window.

Files are loaded alphabetically, so if you want a particular order, name them in ascending
alphabetical order.

The photos really should be jpegs, but feel free to try others. They may or may not work.

You may have more than one photo folder, however, "MyPhotos" must be present. Do not
delete the folder "MyPhotos."

Your own photo folders have to be in the same directory as the software.

To switch to a different photo folder, use the file/open... menu.

All photos fit into a 640 x 640 area.

USB sticks are not the fastest things in the world... so if your jpeg photos are right out of
your 12 megapixel camera...they will still work, but it may take a bit of time to read those huge
files off your slow USB stick...

... so, if you want faster response time, you can
1) buy a faster stick
2) make your photo files smaller.

Check the website for a program that will shrink the files to 640x640, just for USBShow; it's free.

...and yes: there is a lot of fancy stuff that I could have done to "improve" the software.

But, I wanted to make it _extremely_ simple and easy to use. The task is to show your
photos, not turn you into Stephen Speilburg.
