                          Frequently Asked Questions


	This file contains some questions which are asked frequently.  Please
peruse this file- you may find a simple answer to what seems to be a perplexing
question.

1) What's happening?  It says "cannot find internet connection" when I start
   FriendlyTalk?

	You must be connected to the Internet when using FriendlyTalk.  Make sure that 
your connection is oreating properly.  Also, if you are operating behind a firewall, you
may not be able to access the Internet.  For more information, please contact

2) When I try to change identities, an hourglass appears and the program appears to be
   stuck.  How can I fix it?

	When you change identities, the program must log onto the AwareNet(TM) system and 
update all of your settings.  This process takes some time.  It should not take more 
than one or two minutes, but be patient with it.

3) I have gone to the preferences window and set my away message, but my friends never 
receive my away message when I am away.  What can I do?

	Make sure that when you are going to be away from your computer that you turn the 
away message on by checking the away menu item in the main menu.

4) I have the program running, but none of my friends can invite me to chat.  What's going
on?

	Make sure that your away message is turned off.  In the main menu, make sure that 
the menu item "away" is not checked.
