Adding Text
With AutoVue, you can add a 3D text box entity to a markup.
- From the Markup menu, select Add Entity, and then select Text.
Note: From the Markup Entity toolbar, you can also click 3D Text
.
- The Attach To dialog box appears and provides six snapping options:
- To insert a text box that snaps to a part of the drawing with a leader line, select one of the snapping modes.
- Click and drag on the drawing to define the dimensions of the text box.
- Click in the text box and enter the text you want to add.
Note: The height of the text box will change to accommodate the text.
- To change text box font properties, from the Markup menu, select Format, and then select Font.
The Font dialog box appears allowing you to change the font type, style, and size.
Note: From the respective font property lists on the Markup Properties toolbar, you can also modify the font type, style, and size.
- Click OK to implement the font changes and to close the Font dialog box.
- To change the line properties or fill color of the text box, select the text box, then from the Markup menu, select Format, and then select the property or properties you want to change.
Note: From the respective line property lists on the Markup Properties toolbar, you can also modify the line style, line thickness, fill types, and fill colors.
- Right-click outside the text area to complete the modification.
The text appears on the drawing and in the Markup Navigation Tree.
- To move the text box, click and drag it to anywhere on the drawing.
- To resize the text box, select it and then click and drag the frame handles.
Note: To edit the text, double-click the text box in the tree or in the workspace.
