Design Verification

Design verifications are operations that check the electrical design of a PCB against a set of rules defining physical and electrical design limitations. Performing these checks will prevent short circuits and process errors. The types of design rules are as follows:

Clearances - The minimum spacing (air gaps) allowed between two sets of entities in the design. These sets can belong to the same type of entity or to different types.
Electrical - Targets certain properties of the nets
Manufacturing - Targets the physical properties of a particular entity.
