-------------------------
THE TL;DR:
-------------------------

This is the tl;dr for those of you who are too lazy to read the whole thing, however, you'll likely miss something important by not reading the whole file.

REQUIRES FNIS 3.1. The mod will not work without it.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS MOD USING NMM. Read the installation instructions below.

IF YOU'RE HAVING ISSUES WITH ANIMATION MODS AND VANILLA ANIMATIONS, see the section at the very bottom of the readme.

IF YOU'RE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THIS MOD TO WORK, check the Q and A and the incompatibilities.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT MODS ARE IN THE SCREENSHOTS, check the section devoted to it, below.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE SKYRIM POSES, you won't find one here. See the notes below for the reasons.

-------------------------
THE VERY IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:
-------------------------

REQUIRES FNIS 3.1. No earlier versions of FNIS will work as of release 1.5.

You can find the incredibly useful FNIS here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11811

-------------------------
Known Incompatibilities:
-------------------------

These are from user reports. I have not confirmed them.

Animated Prostitution, which does not have a patch, and which I will not make myself. It uses Josh's behavior file patcher which is 100% incompatible with fore's 2.0/2.1/3.0 implementation. It's one or the other, at the moment.

-------------------------
Known Issues and Fixes:
-------------------------

Q: "The rings and spells don't appear in my inventory, have I done something wrong?"
A: There are a few reasons this might happen. First is that you may have disregarded the fact that the mod is manual install only and tried to install it using NMM. This is a bad idea, since NMM does not seem capable of installing the mod correctly. Instructions for proper manual installation are below.
Another reason might be that you just haven't installed the mod correctly, however, I've had reports from people who tell me the mod was definitely installed correctly but the rings just don't appear. This is probably a mod incompatibility, but I have no means to narrow it down, since no mod should interfere with my mod's scripts.

Q: "I use the rings and nothing happens. What's wrong?"
A: Chances are you've either failed to install the FNIS requirement, or you've done it incorrectly. Providing you've followed the FNIS instructions on the FNIS page, or here, this issue shouldn't appear.

Q: "My character looks all twisted out of shape. Am I missing something, or is this incompatible with something?"
A: No. The Skyrim skeleton is less than ideal for any type of complex posing. To avoid horrible clipping, I've had to do some downright shameless things with the skeleton. If it doesn't look right to you, just don't use the pose. On another note, the only body that is officially supported by this mod is dimon99's UNP. I can only optimise my poses for one body type, and it's the body type that I use personally. I have nothing against CBBE, but I'm not going to make a mod for something I don't even use. The poses will work with all body types using the vanilla skeleton though. They just might look odd sometimes.

Q: "No matter what I do, the idles just aren't working, and even some animations like crossbow animations aren't working. What went wrong?"
A: See the detailed cleaning process at the bottom of the readme for a list of steps you can follow to fix this issue.

-------------------------
Usage:
-------------------------

1: Activate .esps

2: You will find 6 rings in your apparel. You must favourite and add to hotkeys whichever pair you wish to use.

Note: It is very important that you are using the right selector/ring pair. If you are using the Standing Idle 1 Select ring, you must use the Standing Idle 1 Play ring.

3: Press the Idle Select hotkey.

4: Choose your idle from the menu lists.

5: Press the Idle Play hotkey.

6: When you wish to leave the pose, jump.

To pose an NPC, after step 4, equip the one of the 3 spells in your restoration school. They are named the same as the play idle rings.

-------------------------
What's in the the .esp's:
-------------------------

Pinups: Gives Stand 1 Idles Select ring and Stand 1 Idles Play ring and spell. All poses are standing poses.
Pinups2: Gives Stand 2 Idles Select ring and Stand 2 Idles Play ring and spell. All poses are standing poses.
Pinups3: Gives Other Idles Select ring and Other Idles play ring and spell. There are 27 laying poses, 27 sitting poses and 27 kneeling poses.

-------------------------
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
-------------------------

1: REMEMBER that the select idle ring will only CHOOSE what idle plays. You MUST activate the play idle ring or spell to make it play.
2: Various poses throughout the set were made for single or dual wielding weapons. If a pose looks like it should have a weapon (usually a closed fist effect) then try it and see.
3: A number of poses may have clipping feet, because the Skyrim FootIK is overriding my pose. There are a couple of ways to get around this.
-Moving your character in with run lock on will make the feet default to the correct position, but you must hit the console button while in motion and use "tfc 1" if you want to capture the animation as it should be. You can then use the tips from the tips file to position the character where you want them.
-Using "tcl" from the console and then moving your character away from any collision surfaces (floors etc.) will allow the feet to pose as they should be. You can then go into "tfc 1" mode and use the tips from the tips file to position your character where you want them.

-------------------------
Installation:
-------------------------

DO NOT INSTALL WITH NMM.

NMM installation options are removed on this mod since NMM has caused many people problems when installing. Here is how to install the mod manually.

1: Extract the archive to an appropriate folder.
2: Copy the data folder into your main Skyrim folder (on a 32-bit system this is usually C:/Program Files/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/ and on 64-bit systems this is usually C:/Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/).
3: Allow any overwrites.
4: Double click the FNIS generator program found in Data/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/ called GenerateFNISforUSers.exe (note: this will only be present if you paid attention and installed the requirement)
5: Click "Update FNISBehavior" and wait until you see a message like:
1295 animations for 9 mods successfully included.
The number will vary depending on what mods you have installed/are installing.
6: Close the program.
7: Activate the 3 .esp files that came with this mod, through whatever means you manage your mods.

Recommended Mods:
-------------------------

Puppeteer Master: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10870
Works great alongside Pinup Poser, for things like AI overrides, facial expressions, and even lip motion.

UNP body type: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6709
All poses were posed using this body. It's the best fit for the mod!

-------------------------
Notes:
-------------------------

I know that it's not what many of you are used to with your Oblivion poses, or even Puppeteer Master, but I don't understand papyrus and I am jigsawing together things I don't understand, so for the moment, and indefinitely, this is how the mod works. I apologise, but tough.

If you've read this readme then you'll have seen this line which says I will definitely NOT reply to any requests or demands, nor answer any questions regarding anything I have already covered here in the mod replies. That's where legitimate issues, bug reports and thanks go. Not "can you", "you should" or "I chose my idle and nothing happened". Also, try to avoid "what outfit is your girl wearing?" as well. It says it right here.

People have approached me asking me to make a tutorial on how to creat poses for Skyrim. Initually, I was intending to, but after looking over the resources I use, I'm afraid I can't publicly release any tutorials, since I have to link various dark corners of the internet, and even have things that I'm not sure where they came from.

Permissions:
-------------------------

Feel free to do whatever you like with the pose files. I only ask that you send me a PM to let me know.

Anything related to FNIS (scripts etc.) are based on FNIS and so permission will be required from fore before you use them, however, you have my full permission to use my portion of the work as you please.

You can upload/redistribute/translate this mod freely. In fact, I encourage translations. Especially to logographic languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

-------------------------
Thanks and Credits:
-------------------------

Many thanks to fore, of course, for his work on FNIS, allowing me to take up his space, and giving me useful advice at various intervals.

Major thanks to JohnBSkyrim for showing me the error of my ways and fixing my bad scripting.

Thanks to thefigment/thehologram for the extremely helpful hkxcmd.

Thanks to REDSTUDIO for cleaning my .esps of the old FNIS stuff that may have been causing conflicts.

Thanks to HoneyVanity, without whom there would most definitely not be a 1.5 update, or any further work on Pinup Poser for the foreseeable future. Go give her kudos.

Until next time.

Halo.

How to Clean Your Animations:
-------------------------

Some users have had various problems, between updating FNIS and main game updates, etc. This is a short how to that should help 9 out of 10 of you fix your issues.

1: Clear out all FNIS behavior files. This means anything inside

Data/meshes/actors/character/behaviors/
Data/meshes/actors/character/animations/

(though I recommend backing up anything in folders like "female" etc. since they're likely animation replacers for prettier idles etc.)

as well as these files:

Data/meshes/actors/character/characters/defaultmale.hkx
Data/meshes/actors/character/characters female/defaultfemale.hkx

2: Turn off any animation related .esp files (no need to delete, just deactivate)

3: At this point, you should verify your gamecache. I'm not sure if any updates have added any loose files, but I like to do this any time I'm trying to fix vanilla issues.

4: Boot up your game and load it, free of the various mods. You'd be shocked how much a savegame will hold that it shouldn't. If you want to be REALLY safe, you could also walk into a new cell. After that's done, save the game with the behavior/animations mods absent.

5: Install FNIS 3.1, first half. By this I mean copy the FNIS behaviors, tools and whatnot into your Skyrim folder, but do not run anything yet.

6: Install any FNIS dependent mods to their correct locations (seriously, make sure they're in the right places) and restore any animation replacers you might be using.

7: At this point, go to Data/tools/ and run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe and click the button to update. Wait until the messages at the top tells you how many files have been included, then close the generator.

8: Reactivate any animation related .esp files.

9: Load up the save game you made earlier in the process and see if everything worked.
