You can designate a database device by setting device on or off. To do so, go to the database device General tap. Click the Default Device checkbox to make a database device the default device.
Click the Data Synchronization checkbox to enable data synchronization. When dsync is on, Adaptive Server writes to the default device occur directly to the physical storage media, and server can recover data on the device in the event of a system failure.
