Creating a threshold

The Add New Threshold dialog displays the list of procedures in the database where this segment resides. For information about how far thresholds can be placed, see Hysteresis value.

The Segment Properties Threshold tab allows you to:

Add – adds a threshold.
Remove – removes a threshold.
Properties – displays the property sheet for the selected stored procedure.

Before you create a threshold, you must create the stored procedure that will run when the threshold is reached.

Select the segment icon, then select File | Properties.
Select the Thresholds tab.
Click Add. The Add New Threshold dialog box is displayed.
Set the free space value in the When Free Space Falls Below box.
Select a procedure from the list.
Click OK.
