Selecting the utility type

Use the Add a New Utility - Type screen to assign a type to a utility. To view this screen:

Select Adaptive Server Enterprise | Utilities tab.
Select a utility item.
Select File | Properties.
Select the Type tab.

Three utility types— Sybase, third-party, and user-defined—are predefined by ASE-plugin. To define your utility as any of these types, select the type and click Finish to complete the definition.

To define a new utility type:

Highlight new Type and select Add.
In the Specify a new Utility Type dialog box, enter the type.
Click OK.

This type is now listed on the Utility Type screen.

You can add, remove, or modify utility types:

Add – adds a new utility type.
Remove – deletes a utility type. You cannot delete the Sybase, user-defined, or third-party types. You cannot remove a utility type if any utilities are using this type.
Modify – allows you to rename a utility type.
