Chapter 12: In-Memory Database

In-memory devices

The In-Memory Device wizard allows you to create an in-memory device in the server. This device is used to store the objects that make up an in-memory database.

To create an in-memory device, open the Database Devices folder then right-click the In-Memory Devices subfolder and choose New to open the In-Memory Device wizard.

StepsCreating the in-memory database device

  1. Specify the device name. Click Next.

  2. Specify the cache on which to create the in-memory devices.

  3. View the summary. Click Finish.
