You can load a database backup into a pre-existing database, or you can create a new database with the for load option. For details on creating a database for load, see “Creating a database”. With this method, you can move a database to a different Adaptive Server. However, you cannot load a database backup that was created on a different operating system or with an earlier release of Adaptive Server.
