Viewing the partition properties

For Adaptive Servers earlier than release 15.0, ASEP displays the type of partition, the partition key, and the number of partitions.

The Partitions tab displays the partition type (round-robin, list, range or hash partitions), partition key, and the number of partitions.

Right-click the partition name to display these options:

Delete – You can only delete list and range partitions from Adaptive Server release 15.0.1 and later. If you use partition strategies other than list and range, the Delete option does not appear.
Properties – Displays general information about the partition: Partition name, Segment Name, Partition Strategy, Partition key, and Partition Spec
Update statistics – Update statistics is supported for both data and index partitions. When you select update statistics, the Update Statistics wizard appears. Follow the instructions on the screen to update statistics for this partition.
Delete statistics – You can delete statistics for data partitions only. When you select Delete Statistics, the Delete Statistics wizard appears. Follow the instructions on the screen to delete the statistics for this partition.
