Creating an Adaptive Server login is the first step in giving a Sybase Central user access to Adaptive Server.
Only a system security officer can create an Adaptive Server login.
Creating an Adaptive Server login
Select the Logins folder.
Select File | New | Login.
The Login Creation wizard opens.
The Login Creation wizard asks for the following information:

Name |
Name of the new login. |
Password |
A password for the new login. |
Default database |
The database a user with this login is placed in upon logging in to Adaptive Server. |
Default language |
The language you want Adaptive Server to use to display messages. |
Full name |
The name of the person associated with this login. |
Add users to login |
The user is an account that provides access to a specific database. You can add users based on the login. |
Select the Logins folder. In the right pane, double-click the Add Login icon.
