Creating an ASE Replicator connection

You create primary database connections and replicate database connections separately for each database.

If a database acts as both a primary database and a replicate database (in bidirectional replication, for example), you must create both primary and replicate database connections for that database.

To create an ASE Replicator connection:

Select the primary Adaptive Server in the left pane.
Open the ASE Replicator folder under the primary Adaptive Server container.
In the right pane, double-click the Add Connection icon.
Select the connection type (primary or replicate) in the Connection Creation wizard, then follow the wizard instructions to define the database connection.
