Suspending an ASE Replicator connection

You can suspend and resume database connections for maintenance or troubleshooting. For example, you must suspend a connection before you perform the following tasks:

Suspending a primary database connection stops the published transactions from being sent to the Distribution Database.

Suspending a replicate database connection stops the queued transactions in the Distribution Database from being sent to the replicate database.

StepsTo suspend an ASE Replicator connection:

  1. Select the primary Adaptive Server in the left pane.

  2. Open the ASE Replicator folder under the primary Adaptive Server container.

  3. Right-click the icon of the connection you want to suspend.

  4. Select Suspend.

  5. Click Yes in the Question dialog box.

After you suspend a database connection, you must resume the connection to resume replication. For more information, see Resuming an ASE Replicator connection.
