Managing localization properties

Using sqlloc you can modify sort orders, character sets and install, uninstall and modify languages for Adaptive Server.

Under the localization property page you can set a default language, character set, and sort order from the selection. If you choose a default language which has not been installed on your computer a dialog box will inform you the language must be installed first.

You can uninstall a language that has not been set as the default language. If you try to uninstall a default language a dialog will appear to inform you that the language cannot be uninstalled. English cannot be uninstalled.

You can select a different default sort order and character set. When you select a new character set the default sort order combo box will reload with the new character set. If you modify a localizationconfiguration Adaptive Server will restart and you will need to reconnect the server.
