Preferences

By default, the Unified Agent features are disabled. The Preferences tab of the Adaptive Server Provider Properties dialog allows you to configure various Adaptive Server plug-in properties:

Whether to display the features and folders even if they are not licensed.
Whether to show informational and warning messages.
Whether to enable Unified Agent related features
How frequently the server status should be checked, or whether it should be checked at all. The default setting is 3 minutes. If you do not configure the frequency of the server status check, server status is not checked and refreshed.

To manually check and refresh server status, perform one of the following:

For a status update of all servers:
1. Click Adaptive Server Enterprise
2. Click Servers tab
3. Click F5 or View and select Refresh Folder
For a status update of the servers in a server group:
1. Click a server group
2. Click F5 or View and select Refresh Folder

To enable Unified Agent related features such as “server status check,” “start,” “stop,” and “get server log,” you must check Enable Unified Agent (UA) related features.
