(A) Installing the driver on Microsoft Windows XP
================================================================

    1. Make sure your computer is power-off.
    2. Plug the adapter into one of the PCI slots of your PC.
    3. Turn the power ON, then boot into Windows XP.
    4. Windows XP will find the new hardware automatically,
       then "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box will appear.
    5. Insert the Driver Diskette and select "Install from a
       list or specific location (Advanced)", then click "Next"
       button.
    6. Select "Search for the best driver in these locations."
       and "Include this location in the search:". Then type
       "X:\WINXP" in the text box.

      Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
      such as: A:, or B: etc.

    7. Click "Next" button.
    8. Windows XP will find the best driver on the driver disk
       and copy required files. After this is completed,
       Windows XP will prompt with "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast
       Ethernet Adapter" in the dialog box.
    9. Remove the Driver Diskette and click "Finsh" button to
       complete the installation.

(B) Configuring the driver on Microsoft Windows XP
================================================================

    1. Open the "Control Panel" from "Start" Menu.
    2. Click the "Control Panel" .
    3. Click "Network and Internet Connections".
    4. Click "Network Connections".
    5. Right click the "Local Area Connection" icon with the
       name "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast Ethernet Adapter".
    6. Click "Properties" in the pull-down menu.
    7. Click "Config" button in the dialog box.
    8. Click "Advanced" tab in the dialog box.
    9. There are 9 items in the "Property" box.

       ------Media Type      
       .Specify the media type for the adapter.
       .Default: AutoSense
       
       ------PME Enable
       .Specify if Wake On Lan function is enabled.
       .This function depends on that if your PC supports PCI 2.2
       .Default: Enabled
                       
       ------Wake On Ping
       .Specify if Wake on receiving packets from a "Ping" 
        operation is enabled. 
       ."PME Enable" must also be enabled to make this function
        work.
       .Default: Enabled

       ------Link Wakeup(Off->On)
       .Specify if Wake on the detection of physical link on is
        enabled.
       ."PME Enable" must also be enabled to make this function 
        work.
       .Default: Enabled
       
       ------Link Wakeup(On->Off)
       .Specify if Wake on the detection of physical link off is
        enabled.
       ."PME Enable" must also be enabled to make this function 
        work.
       .Default: Disabled

       ------Magic Packet Wakeup
       .Specify if Wake on receiving Magic Packet is enabled.
       ."PME Enable" must also be enabled to make this function
        work.
       .Default: Enabled

       ------Flow Control
       .Specify if 802.3x feature is enabled.
       .Default: Enabled
       
       ------Priority Packet
       .Specify if 802.1p feature is enabled.
       .Default: Disabled
       
       ------VLAN ID
       .Specify if 802.1q feature is enabled.
       .Support up to 4 VLAN ID.
       .Default: 0 (Disabled)
       
   10. After modifying the configuration, click the "OK" button
       make the new configuration take effect.
